This effort will not be possible without the support of our sponsors. One of them is Galing Pinoy. The site is an e-commerce portal for unique Philippine made products such us native handicrafts, gift items, home furnishings, smocked dresses, barong tagalog, dried mangoes, and more. Being able to deliver in major cities worldwide, at competitive prices, is its unique advantage. They are actively looking for distributors and stores, outside of the Philippines.
For the first week, we received a total of 21 entries from C5, Rexted, Aileen Apolo, Radueriel, Leyteño, Em Dy, Stephanie Caragos, Zubli Zainordin, Ryan Shamus, Ja Kel Daily, Hoop, Chris, Damsel_SEO, Andoy, ChrisH, Manuel Viloria, Blogie, BetShopBoy, Jonathan Phillips, Sorren Galiza, and AbbyLim.

thank you!
this initiative is most appreciated by newbies, like me. there is so much to share in the blogosphere, at the same time there are many out there who like to read more, learn more.
it's a pity if these people are not connected, just because they do not know that each other ever existed.
cheers, and good luck!
Here is my entry to the contest for the next update:
http://ww-success.com/blog/index.php/2007/05/15/top-10-emerging-influencial-blogs-in-2007/
@andrew - yeah, you used Andoy when you submitted your entry.
@ww-success - favor please, kindly re-post your url entry in the contest page.
I worry that new participants may get confused on where they can post their entry. Your kind understanding is very much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!! I will post the nominees on my site as well! Goodluck everyone!
i'm going to post my own top 10 list and of course it will include my own blog (shameless plugging)

@chuva - look forward to your entry.
@c5 - thank you for the suggestion. there are many awards for blogs at this time and we don't intend to compete with that. (at least not this year)
This is a writing project where the theme is to recognize the "top 10 emerging influential blogs in 2007". It is a means for bloggers to share info about the new blogs that you love. I only posted the urls of the blogs to also share the link love that the entries have given to them. (and hopefully encourage them to prepare an entry as well in the process)
That is why the prizes are also given to those who joined by making their respective blog entries. I hope this clarifies and your suggestion is worth doing once this writing project gains more recognition in the years to come.
Thank you again for joining!
(I just noticed I wrote 3 "weeks" instead of "months" :D )
The reason I suggested the poll, by the way, is for anonymity of the nominator in relation to the nominees. Knowing who the nominees and nominators are, is a great way to know the existence of these blogs and I can just support your idea fully. It's a win-win situation. KNOWING who nominated who, can create good relations as well as bad...for example:
a blogger can have many or few visitors, right? and relationship grew deeper...and there can be more than ten blogs this blogger appreciates. As for that blogger, for the sake of argument let's say, he/she is influenced by 11 blogs and nothing less. Imagine submitting ten of them, leaving one off...
On the side of the one left out, you can just think of many possibility why he/she was left out...what comes out would be envy and ill-feeling...after all, that person thought he/she was the most favorite (it happens)...
On the site of the nominator, he/she will not be just FORCED to nominate a blog just so the not-so-influential blog will not feel bad, which is a concern because of a more important aspect: it is his/her friend's blog.
BUT! If no one knows who nominated who, who voted who, we can eliminate the cause of these evil thoughts...and blogging friendship will be safely cultured.
It doesn't matter whether we're just starting...starting right waits for no delay.
Blogging is one avenue we garnered friends...may it not be the same reason to lose friends.
Many blogs have been influential because we learn something...but a lot become influential because of the person behind.
